About GES

Founded in 2011 at the heart of Silicon Valley, GES Education Group is dedicated to providing camps, courses and programs in STEM*, Artificial Intelligence, Coding, and Innovation for the next generation. At GES, we deeply care about inspiring young people’s potentials, recognizing their talents and cultivating their personal developments.

Each year, GES provides summer camps, winter camps and courses for nearly 1,000 students across the world, especially in the fields of technology and innovation. We also have successfully held many youth competitions in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. With rich experience in curriculum development, camp education and competition organization, we started to offer after school programs to benefit more students in 2019.

*STEM is an acronym for the fields of science, technology, engineering and math

Our Philosophy and Mission

As Albert Einstein said, we believe "everyone is a genius." The problem, however, is that it is not easy for one to recognize in which field he/she is a genius. Our goal is to assist teens in solving this problem. GES strives to guide students in discovering their passion through our courses and camps, empower them with critical and creative thinking abilities so that they can succeed in their fields. This is what GES stands for: Guide, Empower, and Succeed.

Our Approach

The P21 organization* conducted research that identified deeper learning competencies and skills they called the 4 C's of 21st Century learning, our educational research committee that is made up of experienced educators and industry experts designs our programs and courses to empower the students with these skills that are critical to discover and pursue their talents:

  • Critical Thinking - we adopt Project-based Learning (PBL) approach to guide students think critically and solve problems

  • Creativity - we introduce Design Thinking methodology to guide students to think outside the box

  • Collaboration - we have students form teams where they work together with their teammates to achieve a common goal

  • Communication - we encourage students to convey their ideas the most effectively

In addition, our experience makes us realize that Culture Awareness is equally important. Cultural Awareness is the foundation of communication and it involves the ability of standing back from ourselves and becoming aware of our cultural values, beliefs and perceptions. We consider it as the 5th C.

While we design and deliver our courses and programs to help student gain the 5C's, we make efforts to connect classroom to the real world by continuously introducing the most cutting edge technologies and companies as classroom examples and business cases, so that we help our students be more college- and career-ready.

*P21 is short for Partnership for 21st Century Learning
